User interface & the general use
There are three modes, import, export and overall 'batches' mode. The actual enabled mode is indicated by the arrow icon pointing up/down and the name of the button.
The functionality of the addon can be accessed through:
N
Shift
+E
They have mostly the same UI elements so will we start with N-panel
Click/switch to enable the import mode
by click on the up/down arrow icon button but first choose the folder. In the second row you can define or indicate the name depending on the mode currently set
Choose the file-type from the drop-down
The addon comes with a pre-configured support for the importers/exporters that are included in the official Blender releases (as well as the addon's built-in .blend importer/exporter). To configure additional importers/exporters, see the User preferences section.

Filter the data objects you would like to be considered for the import
Enable or disable to the icons, or hover each for the tooltip
Process the data objects by following settings:
Importing options
Click/switch to enable the export mode
Filter the data objects you would like to export
Process the data objects by following settings:
Importing or exporting via this addon will add the imported/exported objects to a special "batch" collection, which stores import/export settings. This allows to easily re-import / re-export those objects.
You can also invoke a floating panels
Use corresponding keyboard hotkeys for invoking each one:
Shift + I
Import panelShift + E
Export panelYou can import/export via dedicated menu options
