Tooltips: hover individual options for the description

Global preferences are accessible from the Blender preferences tab section.
Local preferences or so called Quick preferences can be changed on the fly from the cog icon dropdown menu. They are accessible from the Global preference tab as well.

Global

Main addon preferences

You can set general settings under the addon tab in the section preferences. In the first column, you can choose the data category you want to be listed and supported overall. It acts as a global switch. Only turned on categories would be listed under quick preferences drop-down menu.

Hotkeys

Choose the menu & panels hotkey

Define width of of popup panel and new modifier panel

Choose the data category you want to be supported in the addon:

Choose the data category you want to see listed as a panel and available in the quick preferences: quickprefs-panels

Local

Quick preferences

Quick preferences can be turned on and off locally under the addons panel toolbar drop-down. These options are available under cog icon button on top of each panel shelf. Here you can control the visibility of categories, individual operator settings or data listing.

Sync-selection (on/off?)

This defines type of synchronization of selections in-between 3D viewport objects and individual panel data slots.

Manual - Slots and viewport object selections are not in sync
Default - Slots and viewport object selection is independent of each other
Always - Slots and viewport object selections are synced
